Why This Matters
Washington, DC has 700,000 citizens who deserve the same full representation and local self-government as citizens in the rest of the country. Currently, the limited home rule we have is at risk due to legislation in the U.S. Congress. Since D.C. has no voting representation in Congress, its residents - like me - must rely on citizens from other states - like you - to advocate on our behalf.
